What do I need to send?
The floor plan and elevations as PDF are ideal. Clear phone photos work too. A window and door schedule helps us get the openings exact.
How fast is it really?
Standard single-storey house plans are back within 24 hours of payment. Double-storey or large jobs may take a little longer, and we'll tell you up front.
Do you do double brick and brick veneer?
Yes. WA double brick cavity, brick veneer and single-skin walls (garden walls, internal walls, piers on request).
Which brick sizes?
All the common WA sizes: commons (230 × 110 × 76, 86 course), maxis (305 × 90 × 162, 172 course) and two-course / Florentine size (290 × 90 × 162, 172 course), or any custom size. Face and common skins are counted separately, so your face brick and Brickies Lite are on their own lines.
Can I change the prices and labour rate?
Yes. Tell us your supplier prices and your rate per 1,000 and we'll use them. Otherwise brick prices come from Midland Brick's current published list (picked up from the brickworks, delivery not included), and anything we've had to estimate is shown clearly on the takeoff.
Are my plans kept private?
Your plans are only used to do your takeoff. We don't share them with other builders, brickies or suppliers.
Is the takeoff guaranteed?
No. Every takeoff is an estimate. It's based on the plans you supply and the assumptions shown on it (brick size, joints, waste, mortar rates, prices). You must check the quantities and prices before you quote, order materials or sign a contract. Plans change, and site conditions vary. We're not responsible for losses from relying on a takeoff without checking it.
